Description : |
Article describing a 'no war' rally held in Adelaide about a month before the Iraq War began. It also includes details of protest rallies held in other cities. Australians were divided on whether we should enter the war in Iraq. Most agreed that Saddam Hussein was a dictator, who brutalised his own people, but many felt the links between Iraq and terrorists were tenuous and evidence of the existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq was not strong enough to justify an invasion. |
