Describes the steps taken by the Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, on the day Australia committed to the war in Iraq with the US-led 'Coalition of the Willing'. It reports that Howard had the support of Cabinet to go to war, but met with opposition from members of Australia's other political parties when he informed the Parliament. Also includes an editorial by Paul Starick. |
