An Aboriginal group fishing on the River Murray near Chowilla Station: a woman on the river bank, a man holding a net, several onlookers perched on a fallen tree trunk over the water, one man standing with a spear, and three men in a bark canoe, one with spear raised, circa 1886. Although in white mans clothing, the people are still using traditional Aboriginal implements and canoe. |
