Description :

This oral history is a recording of edited excerpts from speeches made by fourteen Riverland women at a public function organised by the Zonta Club of the Riverland to recognise the contribution of women during the Second World War. In the selection here Marj Osborne speaks about working with munitions at Penfield, Enid Rofe talks about her time in the RAAF, Mae Campbell speaks about housekeeping during the war years and her daughter Joy Sweet offers a child's perspective.
