Description :

9th Light Horse Regiment led by Major HM Parsons.


Born at Inman Valley, South Australia, Parsons landed at ANZAC Cove 22 May 1915. He returned to Australia in 1916 after being reported 'dangerously ill'. Parsons returned to active service in July 1916 to command a Squadron of the 9th Light Horse. In 1918 he received the D.S.O. He is buried at Victor Harbor.
