Pages from Anecdotes of a Japanese translator, 1941-1945, originally published Adelaide, D.H. Laidlaw, 2001.

In these extracts Don Laidlaw describes his experiences as a Japanese translator at Loveday Internment Camp from 1942 to 1943, and his time in Central Bureau Intelligence Corps, a part of General MacArthur's headquarters, in Brisbane as part of a decoder prior to transferring to the Philippines.
