Carl Czerny was an Austrian piano teacher, composer, pianist, theorist and historian. Born in Vienna in February 1791 he remained there all his life dying in July 1857. Czerny's compositional output was prolific and covered almost very genre.Today he is largely remembered for the technical exercises he created, which are still considered to be an essential part of every pianist's training |
