Portrait of W.R. Cave from Wirrialpa from the S.A. Northern Pioneers' composite, 1850-1859 (shown in position on B 6912/3).


The Chambers Brothers  and S.A. Northern Pioneers, T. Coffin were also connected with Wirrealpa station. Today, Wirrialpa (Wirrealpa) Station is a 1,650 square kilometre, working sheep and cattle station situated on the east side of the Flinders Ranges, on the main Wilpena to Arkaroola Road, 35 kilometres east of Blinman. Now run by the Fargher family, the pastoral lease, dates back to the 1850s. The cottage was built c. 1860.
