Red clockwork carriage with key. There are no manufacturer's marks on the carriage. It is believed to be late 19th century. The Lucy Family lived at Modbury, north east of Adelaide, from 1873 to 1938. Ivy Lucy, born 1893, recalls their life, attending school and then helping out on the farm with the horses and cows.
The family donated a collection of books toys and games to the State Library in the 1980s. |
