Watercolour on paper illustration of the Barossa Ranges run, along the east side of the Barossa Valley. Alfred Sells was an Anglican clergyman from England who arrived in South Australia in May 1877. He became the Incumbent of Holy Trinity Church at Lyndoch and it is possible this was the time he executed the original drawings for his watercolour series, which were completed back in England in 1898. Sells was later the Incumbent at St Michael's Church at Mitcham for four years from February 1884. He returned to England in 1888. |
