Description :

WR Knox was born in Adelaide, South Australia in July 1861.
He is considered to be one of South Australia's more prolific composers. he wrote and published churchmusic but also wrote popular songs and instrumental music which include Our Cadets (1901), Australian Heroes (1903) ,and Elaine - morceaue brilliant in E flat (C1900). In May 1898 he published The Australian Pianoforte Tutor.
Knox's style as a composer is described as "melodiuous, brilliant but not too difficult, and well suited to the genius of the instrument".
