Description :

The Pichi Richi Pass lies between Port Augusta and Quorn in the state's north. The railway that runs through the pass was originally part of the great northern line which was intended to link Port Augusta and Darwin. The line was closed to regular traffic in 1957. The oldest section of the track is now used to run heritage railway journeys.

One of the images in this montage is of Devil's Peak overlooking Pichi Richi Pass. The peak is 670 metres above sea level.
