The 'big galah', located at Kimba, South Australia. Kimba is known as the halfway point between Australia's east and west coasts and the 'Gateway to the Gawler ranges'. The Kimba district was settled in the 1870s, primarily for wheat growing. The town of Kimba was proclaimed in 1915. |
