Grundy, Edward Lindley; a sketch. A drawing from S.T.Gill's "Heads of the People". Artist's caption: "Rail not again". Born at Nottingham, England Grundy was the founder of the Standard newspaper. He established a school at Brighton, and was an auctioneer, commission agent and accountant at Gawler. Grundy became manager of the Bunyip newspaper. He was also a member of Parliament. Grundy is buried at West Terrace cemetery. |
