Description : |
The Friends' (Quakers') Meeting House off Pennington Terrace, North Adelaide. It features an anti-Iraq war poster on the Friends' notice board. The beliefs of Quakerism, a form of Christianity, revolve around the idea that every individual has a direct relationship with God, so all human beings are equal and have the ability to personally embrace God. Thus, written doctrine and clergy are unnecessary. Quakers are also dedicated to pacifism, as seen by the anti-war poster in this photograph. |
