Description : |
Wayback Football Club from Port Lincoln photographed during a trip to Cowell. Wayback Football Club was formed in 1903 and participated in the first game of football to be played in Port Lincoln, against a team called Port Lincoln. They were the first premiers of the Port Lincoln Football Association. The Association, established in 1910, changed its name to the Port Lincoln Football League at the end of World War Two. The Club, who wear red and blue, has won 31 premierships including six in a row from 1929-1934. The club's name came from Port Lincoln's geography.
