View of the roadside plaque erected in 1983 by the Royal Geographical Society of SA and the Redhill District Council marking Goyder's line. Located near the entrance to the Lake Gilles Conservation Park, South Australia. In 1865 South Australia's surveyor-general, George Woodroffe Goyder, plotted a line marking the land which received enough rain each year to sustain agriculture and that which did not. This photograph is a view of the roadside plaque erected in 1983 by the Royal Geographical Society of South Australia and the Redhill District Council marking Goyder's line. The plaque is located near the entrance to the Lake Gilles Conservation Park, South Australia. |
