Between 2000 and 2011 the Central District Football Club played in every South Australian National Football League (SANFL) Grand Final. The Bulldogs were victorious in 2000, the club's first ever premiership, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2002 they were defeated by Sturt and in 2006 and 2011 by the Woodville-West Torrens Eagles who had been beaten by Centrals in four previous Grand Finals. The final score in 2005 was Central 15 goals 14 behinds, 104 to the Eagles 11 goals 10 behinds, 76. The Jack Oatey Medal, awarded to the best player on the ground in a Grand Final, was won by Central's Luke McCabe. |
