Description : |
From the Advertiser, 25 August 1938. Members of the expedition party were reportedly 'electrified' by their findings on the second day of excavations. Amongst other signs of human occupation, were found two coins; a blackenend Queen Victoria threepenny piece, dated 1841, and a George III half sovereign, dated 1817. The coins were discovered by the party leader Grenfell Price at their digging site about two miles south of the Northern Territory border. |
