Description : |
Extracts from a pamphlet extolling the benefits of 'scientific eating'. First published in 1934, long before the counter-culture food revolution of the 1970s which encouraged the eating of natural and health foods (see Belasco, 1989), this pamphlet was compiled for the Australian Radiant Health Clubs and outlines how to 'eat Health, Vitality, and Youthfulness in every meal' (p. 5). It describes a system of dietetics including foods that should or should not be eaten in combination and foods to avoid. |
