Description : |
In December 1892 Charles Cameron Kingston, later Premier of South Australia, challenged Richard Baker, his old political foe, to a duel with pistols in Victoria Square. The duel never took place, as Baker sent the police to meet Kingston at the appointed time. This article claims that too much has been made of the feud between Kingston and Baker and that some of the newspaper coverage of the events has been biased towards Baker. |
