According to the SA Footballer the players representing Yorke Peninsula were: Captain of the team Joe Pedder of the Wallaroo Football Club, Vice Captain G. Bosisto (Kadina), C. Heath (Kadina), F. In the following week's SA Footballer "The Wizard" describes the game: ...All those who did attend were rewarded with a contest, the chief characteristics of which were the evenness of the play and the scoring, a refreshing and unusual phase of which was the impartiality displayed by the spectators, who applauded with a fairness-generally conspicuous by its absence-good work on both sides

Although defeated on this occasion, earlier in the season, on June 28th, the YPFA team defeated a SAFL B Grade representative by six points at Kadina.

The Yorke Peninsula Football Association was formed in 1888 and was based around the northern Yorke Peninsula towns. In 1961 it was absorbed by the Yorke Valley Football Association based in central Yorke Peninsula. Teams from the Southern Yorke Peninsula Football League joined in 1994 and in 1996 the competition was renamed the Yorke Peninsula Football League.
