Exterior of Miss Gladys Sym Choon's shop in east Rundle Street. Gladys Sym Choon's shop, the China Gift Store, occupied this site from 1923 to 1984. It was established by Gladys when she was just 18 years old and run by her daughter after her retirement. The China Gift Store solddecorative china, embroidery and other fine cloths, lingerie and napery, much of it imported from China. |
