Description :

View of a native orange tree (Capparis sp.) in Italowie Gorge, northern Flinders Ranges, South Australia. The Wild Orange or Iga tree is a signature species of the Northern Flinders Ranges.

The Iga represents Adnyamathanha people, and their distribution is similar - if not literally, symbolically - that is, wherever the Igas are found, that is the land of the Adnyamathanha.

The fruit of the Iga is eaten fresh, or can be dried and stored for later consumption.

The name of Adnyamathanha cultural tourism venture Iga Warta translates as the 'place of the native orange'.
