William Walker, Protector of Aborigines, reports on his visit of inspection to Point McLeay Mission. He describes the daily routine, the education of the children and their proficiency in their lessons, the buildings and the numbers of Aboriginal people at the mission. He refers also to George Taplin's translation of some of the gospels and a number of hymns into the Aboriginal language. |
