Description : |
The pamphlet describes the establishment of the mission at Gerard, including the materials that were needed to do this. It also includes some of the report by the Horticultural Advisor Mr CG Grasby, from the Department of Agriculture at Berri, on the horticultural possibilities of the site. The plan of the mission with its orchards and vegetable plots drawn up by Mr Grasby can be seen here. This shows the provision of the pump house on the river bank, and of a large tank on the hill above the river, and the arrangement of the irrigation piping. |
