In this paragraph Charles Sturt writes of the success of Edward Eyre's station at Moorundi, and of how the Aboriginal people had quickly adapted to the use of fish hooks, over their more traditional fishing practices. Both men had great sympathy for the plight of the Aboriginal people. |
