Description : |
The commitment to open up land at Loxton for Soldier Settlers after World War Two completely changed the character and economy of the area. The local newspaper, The Murray Pioneer, reports on the state government's announcement of approval for the Loxton Irrigation Scheme as part of the federal government's Soldier Settlement Program, following heavy lobbying by the Returned Services League and the Father's Association. |
