Description :

Patriotic music composed during World War One was usually bright with consistent marching beats and catchy melodies. These songs frequently reflect incidents of Australian involvement and the national perception of Australia's role in the war. They were often performed at fundraising concerts, recruitment drives and around the piano at home.
