In 1895 two men decided to both shoot the Tantanoola tiger - one being a man called Donavon and Daniel Skipworth- and the community had offered a shotgun or the stuffed tiger. Donavan took the tiger and it was placed in the hotel -Skipworth the shotgun which is still licensed and belongs to the Skipworth family. |
