Sir Day Hort Bosanquet planting the first tree (centre), at Haines Memorial Park , Tea Tree Gully, on 30 July 1909. Lady Bosanquet (right) and Miss Alicia Bosanquet (left) were also present. The park was named after William Haines, a pioneer of the Tea Tree Gully District. The opening of the park coincided with a public Arbor Day. |
