Dining hut used by members of the American-Australian Scientific Expedition to Arnhem Land during their stay in Yirrkala, 1948. The Party enjoyed a wide variety of canned foods during the Expedition, including canned butter, cheese, bacon, brain and carrots. They dined off the earthernware plates and dessert bowls that had been thoughtfully packed. |
