Description : |
Front cover, inside cover and title page of the 1933 edition of the Green and gold cookery book. The inside cover shows a photograph of King's College, Kensington Park for which the cookbook was compiled as a fundraiser. Advertisement space in the Green and gold cookery book was sold to supplement the money raised for the school by sales. This edition contains advertisements for some notable South Australian companies and products, such as Menz biscuits (the original manufacturer of yo-yo biscuits), Nurses cornflour and Seppelts. The Green and gold cookery book became a Bank SA Heritage icon in 2002. |
