Description : |
Boys grape picking at Auldana Winery. Auldana, in the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges just outside of Adelaide, was established in 1847 by Patrick Auld. After Auld's death the vineyards were bought by the prominent South Australian politician, Josiah Symon. Australia's first commercial sparkling red wine was produced by Symon's vineyard manager, Edmund Mazure, at Auldana in 1893. The Auldana vineyards are now in the Adelaide metropolitan area and are owned by Penfolds. |
