Big things: Big Lobster

The Big Lobster is located at Kingston SE (south east, to distinguish it from Kingston-on-the-Murray) in South Australia's south east. It is approximately 18 metres tall and weighs four tonnes. A restaurant below the Big Lobster serves cooked lobster in season, as well as wines from the nearby Coonawarra area.

In 2007 the Big Lobster was featured on an Australia Post stamp as part of a set of stamps featuring five of Australia's big things. The illustrations for the big things stamps were drawn by artist Reg Mombassa.
