Description :

J Dunn & Co.'s Flour Mill, horsedrawn and bullock wagons loading and unloading wheat sacks.


John Dunn's mill opened at Mount Barker in the Mount Lofty Ranges in 1844 and was the first steam-powered flour mill in the colony outside of Adelaide. During its 50 years of operation 532,053 bags of wheat were deposited at the mill, producing 425,648 bags of flour.
