Description : |
The Friends' (Quakers') Meeting House off Pennington Terrace, North Adelaide. This 'prefabricated colonial cottage' was manufactured by Henry Manning in London and sent to the South Australian Quakers by their English counterparts. It arrived at Port Adelaide in early February 1840, but was not completely erected on its North Adelaide site until mid-June 1840. It is one of the oldest continuously used religious buildings in South Australia. |
