Description :

Report of the 1970 National Aborigines Day celebrations held at Taperoo Primary School on Friday 9 July 1970. Other events planned to mark the celebrations were a 'family tea' at a city hall and a dance at Hindmarsh Town Hall organised by the Nunga Football Club and the Committee of the Aboriginal Cultural Centre on Saturday 10 July. A cabaret was also planned for 23 July.


Also a report of 5 Aboriginal men, Stan Raoch, Brain Marshall, Barry Morris, Alan Barker and Charles Moore, setting off from Sydney Town Hall to walk to Brisbane to draw attention to aboriginal land rights.
