Cover of the programme of the first International Women's Day held in Adelaide. The programme opened with the Song of Australia, followed by speeches by Dr Constance Davey, Mrs Charles Duguid, Mrs Ray Watt and Miss Mary Smith. There was also a pageant, 'intended to show that although the lot of humanity, and particularly woman has been mainly suffering ... woman has emerged triumphant.' |
